Kickstart your new found hobby with this popular workshop led by the talented Sylvia of @viacalligraphy. You'll learn about what modern calligraphy is, the basic strokes and the foundational skills for writing basic letter forms with a brush pen. You'll also have time for hands-on learning with plenty of one-on-one time, and get to enjoy a beverage while doing so! This class is designed for beginners and no experience is necessary.

Supplies included in the course fee:

  • Sylvia's Brush Lettering Worksheets
  • Tombow Fudenosuke Calligraphy Pen
  • Tombow Dual Brush Pen
  • Tracing Paper Pad
  • Custom Name Plate

Venue: The event will take place in a beautiful loft space on the 3rd floor of a historic building. When you enter, please make your way up the stairs to the top. Please note that unfortunately there are no elevators in the building. There is paid street parking available nearby on Berkeley Street or King Street East.

About your Hosts:

This event is co-hosted by Palak, Co-Founder of Hosted Here and Sylvia of Via Calligraphy.

Sylvia is a downtown Toronto girl who loves her city as much as Drake does. When she's not working her day job in Digital Marketing, she's working on calligraphy commissions or teaching brush calligraphy at in-person classes in the city with the hopes that her students fall in love with lettering as obsessively as she did.
